A Few Stripes
"I couldn’t see much through the darkness of the night, but I crept along the walls, certain I had seen her go this way. The way she was dressed, she must have been meeting a lover.
I stopped short when I saw her enter the tiger’s cage and shed her outer coat. Zambee’s yellow eyes blinked – mine did too.
“Hello lover,” she murmured, reaching down to stroke him.
I didn’t think I wanted to see any more."
